My First mile a minute crochet throw WIP

Mile a minute throw in progress......oh how I love this!

I bought quite a few crochet throws and other crafty items back with me from our USA visit last year.
The first picture is the one I bought there....beautifuly made and a funky colour selection.....this is what attracted me to it.The following pics are what I am working on.
I found a pattern amoungst the hunderds that I have to make one.....so simple....I do simple in crochet as I get too bored if it's complicated then of course I end up never completing the project.
I have bought just a couple of new balls of wool but I am intending using what stash I have in my home to do this. Then I am going to have a go at a granny square blanket, I've lots of different patterns that I could use for that too....just need to find the one that fits with how I like to crochet! Also very tempted to do Sarah Londons crochet wool eating blanket. Might have a little practice on this one too!

  1. I like the colours you've chosen for your 'mile a minute'.

So, looking at the pictures, do you make up separate strips, then crochet the strips together?

    cheers

Yes another border goes around each strip, then another border then whip stitch em all up! However......I've put this little project to one side as I have yet anohter pattern up my sleeve! Hexagons....how many types are there to do! Also seen two other things I want to do ....I need to get a grip!

About Me

My photo
Hello and thanks for visiting me. I'm Heather and this is all so new to me. I am a big big fan of other peoples blogs. I love all things quirky and different in my life and my home, mixing the vintage and the new together. Having mastered the basics of crochet mainly through the internet and a lovely lady who had the time to sit down and show me just how it was done I am now quite addicted. However I need to learn how to stop skipping from one project to another! I'll share my 'projects' with you and my love of vintage crochet and knitting patterns that I hope to upload onto here. I am also quite a big fan of charity shops and will share my little finds with you too. Lots of blogs have inspired me to do one of my own I hope you can come back and have a sneaky peek at 'whats occuring' in my life! Heather xxx
