Little jacket for a crochet lampshade finished. Very simple granny squares used then I edged the top with Lucys AKA Attic 24 bobble edged trimming. The base of the shade is Lucys pattern again. Simple but effective x

First Snowman of the year
Well the first snowman has been built minus a nose which fell off. The nose was a leek!
Baby Benji (the puppy) got sooooo excited with it all but the snowman did spook him up somewhat.
Sky tv has gone off so everything is peaceful in the house, because we just turned the tv off simple as that really. A bit of snow and it all goes pear shaped.
Just done facetime with my Son in the USA with no disturbance whatsover yet again.a bit of snow here in the UK and all normal services stop.Grrrrr pathetic.
Anyway if you love snow enjoy it if not dont get too concerned it will be gone soon. xxxx

My First mile a minute crochet throw WIP
Mile a minute throw in progress......oh how I love this!
I bought quite a few crochet throws and other crafty items back with me from our USA visit last year.
The first picture is the one I bought there....beautifuly made and a funky colour selection.....this is what attracted me to it.The following pics are what I am working on.
I found a pattern amoungst the hunderds that I have to make one.....so simple....I do simple in crochet as I get too bored if it's complicated then of course I end up never completing the project.
I have bought just a couple of new balls of wool but I am intending using what stash I have in my home to do this. Then I am going to have a go at a granny square blanket, I've lots of different patterns that I could use for that too....just need to find the one that fits with how I like to crochet! Also very tempted to do Sarah Londons crochet wool eating blanket. Might have a little practice on this one too!
Happy hooking to you all! xx

My Magical wool ball is here
I've never been involved in any swap before and have been proper excited about it.
Monday was my post out day but the weather was pants and it scuppered any chance of getting Callies parcel to her. I was a drowned rat when I got in from work and that put paid to sending it off yesterday. Anyway it's been posted out this afternoon.Callie is blogging the thrity day photo challenge ( Which I do intend to do soon) I have learnt so much about her and although I may never meet her in 'real life' I feel that I know so much already. I have a lot in common not in the fact that we are the same age but one of them being is that Callie is the same age as my son and I feel her dreams and aspirations that my Son has right now. Please visit her.
Miserable weather day here YET AGAIN today however I am now preparing for my hols more of that another day as I dont want to borreeeeee you all.
Here is a picture of the oh so lovely wool....I need to ask Callie what wool this is.
Beautiful colours ( My sort of shades). I reckon it's Noro and that I have been spoilt too x
Unwrapping this was just such an experience and there was so many beautiful gifts wrapped up ( If you are reading this Callie before my ball gets there forgive me I did not put anything in it for you to eat! Eeeekkk!)
IAnyways....I have just uploaded about 300 pics off my iphone whcih I generally use everday for taking pics on. My Daugher introduced me to Picnik over a year ago and I bought the premium account for her....never used it myself and when I asked another blogger about her pics she said she used Picnik....the rest is history, at last I have a photo editior that I can use simply and edit to my hearts delight.
Lots of pics to share with you about my thrifty finds purchased over the past month.....
Speak soon x

Chair completed
Finished the chair but I do have some little hearts to put on and I just can't find the flippin things.
Polka dot fabric was 50p for quite a few metres from a charity shop of course. Paint is just regular Crown white satinwood from our cellar stash of paint, used Mr B's bestest paint brush... Naughty Heather! The little heart was made from a kit I bought from Heather at the patchwork heart using upcycled fabrics and the cushion is from Kandipandi x
When I locate the hearts I'll pop them on and show you x
I've also found quite a local blog...that I LOVE great design of pics too have a nosy its http://www.athriftymrs.com/

About Me
- Heather
- Hello and thanks for visiting me. I'm Heather and this is all so new to me. I am a big big fan of other peoples blogs. I love all things quirky and different in my life and my home, mixing the vintage and the new together. Having mastered the basics of crochet mainly through the internet and a lovely lady who had the time to sit down and show me just how it was done I am now quite addicted. However I need to learn how to stop skipping from one project to another! I'll share my 'projects' with you and my love of vintage crochet and knitting patterns that I hope to upload onto here. I am also quite a big fan of charity shops and will share my little finds with you too. Lots of blogs have inspired me to do one of my own I hope you can come back and have a sneaky peek at 'whats occuring' in my life! Heather xxx
